"This weddin' was a teed baw!" is an old Scottish saying that basically means: This wedding was a success from the start. Take a look at the photos and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about. Merion Tribute House wedding

As Lauren and Christopher's guests pulled up the driveway to the Merion Tribute House, they were greeted by an authentic Scottish bagpiper playing his pipes loudly and proudly.

The Merion Tribute House is setup like the first floor of a castle. Guests were able to move freely around the building, enjoying food and drink in the Legion Room, relaxing on plush furniture in the Lounge, sharing conversation in the Hall, or taking in some fresh air or a cigar on the terrace.

The night was filled with not only the music you usually hear at weddings, but if you check out this video, you'll see there was some Scottish music, too! Click here to hear the song they were dancing to (in the video) a little better.

It was a great night!

Congratulations, Lauren & Christopher!

This Sunday wedding was definitely one to remember.

Merion Tribute House in Merion Station PAOnce again, I was a part of a celebration being held at the Merion Station, two days in a row!

This time I had the distinct pleasure of working with my all-time favorite caterer, Robert Ryan Catering.

A family owned and operated group, their main residence is the historic Columbia Station in Phoenixville. However, when having the privilege of providing off-premise catering, they are meticulous and extremely attentive to detail. I endorse them completely and without hesitation.

Merion Tribute House in Merion Station PATania and Erick's friends and family danced well into the evening and later adjourned to the after-party.

At the end of the celebration, I happily received a hug from the bride and groom's mothers and received thanks for a job well done.

Since 1924, the Merion Tribute House has hosted some of the Main Line's most spectacular weddings and social occasions.

Merion Tribute House in Merion Station PADesigned in the Arts and Crafts style of the 1920's, the Merion Tribute House was built to hold community events and social functions, so the layout is perfect for parties large and small.

Three front rooms boasting slate floors, stone cathedral and carved wood-beamed ceilings, and stained glass windows, open onto the flagstone terrace during cocktail hour.

It was especially appropriate that the wedding was held at the Merion Tribute House on Memorial Day weekend, since the building was built was a tribute to war veterans. Thus, a Memorial Day wedding in a building built for the same reason we celebrate Memorial Day.

Jennifer and Jeremy's elegant event was catered by the very detail-oriented caterer, Feastivities.

Merion Tribute House in Merion Station PAI was really struck by the Feastivities staff and their ability to deliver the meal expeditiously and with flair. If you are looking for a caterer for your event, I whole-heartedly recommend them. Their "late night snack" idea was one I've never seen before.

Around 11:00 PM, as the party began to wind down, Philadelphia-style soft pretzels were served with a variety of mustards to choose from. It was a big hit!

Congratulations Jennifer and Jeremy!

A Tribute to Main Line Elegance

Cheryl & Frank hosted their event in the unique Merion Tribute House, an English Country Manor accented with wood-beamed ceilings, slate floors, and a magnificent walk-in fireplace.

Merion Tribute House in Merion Station PAWhat sets the Merion Tribute House apart from other estate-like properties is the layout. The floor plan really lends itself to a multi-room party, allowing some guests to get away from the dinner and dancing to enjoy a drink in the bar or a cigar on the terrace.

It was a very fun night of dancing to a nice mix of newer popular music and traditional favorites to accommodate a wide age range of guests. Merion Tribute House in Merion Station PA

Some high points of the evening included some memorable words from the father of the bride to his new son-in-law and a few vocal performances from the mother of the bride.

The picture at the left is of Cheryl and her mom singing "Buttons" by the Pussycat Dolls.

Congratulations Cheryl and Frank!
