Dancing In A Modish Mansion

Situated in the historic district of Doylestown, the Aldie Mansion is one of the most natural feeling and elegant facilities I have the privilege of playing at. It is the kind of ballroom that a guest can really feel at home at and truly enjoy the celebration.

Aldie Mansion weddingJamie and Chris' friends and family were just plain awesome! They began arriving and immediately took to greeting each other with hugs and smiles, even taking a moment here and there to introduce themselves to me. That doesn't often happen. Usually, the guests are more focused on having conversations with each other and don't take note of the professionals in the room. Again, not the case with their guests.

At one point, one of the servers came up to me and asked "Aren't these people nice?". Very cool.

After a beautiful ceremony at the arboretum, the guests enjoyed some cocktails on the terrace, then came into the conservatory for dinner and dancing.

As you might notice from the photos, it was a really tight-knit group that had a fantastic evening of dancing and catching up with one another.

I really enjoyed this wedding and felt it flew by really quick! There were no "dead spots" in the evening!

Congratulations, Jamie & Chris!

Jamie and Chris' comments about their wedding entertainment: "Steve was such a pleasure to work with! He was a great addition to the ceremony and night and truly made our wedding memorable! He was so social and nice that my family thought he was a guest and a friend of ours! I had SO many compliments throughout the night and days after of what a wonderful job Steve did. I would highly recommend Steve for any party. He helped make ours an amazing night! Thank you!"

A Contemporary Celebration In Doylestown

Aldie Mansion weddingsCourtney & Kerry

Courtney & Kerry's entire wedding took place at the historic Aldie Mansion. Because of Aldie Mansion's history as a private residence, it is an extremely comfortable setting for a wedding reception and/or ceremony.

Aldie Mansion weddingThe day began with an intimate ceremony shared under the boughs of a black oak tree in the garden.

Courtney and Kerry walked down the aisle to classical music and progressed to the cocktail terrace where a small jazz ensemble played swing and big band favorites.

The evening moved along nicely, transitioning from dinner to dancing with guests moving throughout the mansion to enjoy drinks, a Viennese dessert display, and stepping outside to have a conversation under the stars.Aldie Mansion wedding

The dance time started a little slow, but as the night went on, the floor grew and grew with more smiling and laughing guests.

The skies above teased rain all afternoon and evening, but did not begin to fall until the bride and groom were in their car with the gifts packed and ready to go.

It was a perfect end to a perfect day!

Congratulations, Courtney and Kerry!

A Jashn-e Aroosi in Aldie Mansion

Aldie Mansion in Doylestown PASamiyeh & Ron

Sami and Ron's jashn-e aroosi or wedding reception was held in the historic Aldie Mansion. An ode to the English Tudor manor, this stately 1927 mansion evokes a time in America when craftsmanship reached an art form.

Aldie Mansion in Doylestown PAAfter the American ceremony had finished, Sami and Ron's friends and family adjourned to the Great Hall of the Aldie Mansion for the Persian ceremony. To read about what is involved with a Persian ceremony, click here.

During the cocktail hour, Sami and Ron's friends and family enjoyed some Persian music selections as they mingled throughout the mansion.

Because of Aldie Mansion's layout and it's many inviting rooms, I like to place wireless speakers in each room and outside on the terrace. The wireless speakers play every song and announcement that comes out of the main ballroom sound system.

By fitting each room with sound, you can avoid having guests disconnect from the event. Now, instead of getting lost in conversation and missing the cutting of the cake while standing outside getting some fresh air, the guests are always in tune with exactly what is going on inside.

Aldie Mansion in Doylestown PAIn addition to the American music that was played when the dance floor opened, we also enjoyed some Persian and Arabic dance songs. I personally happen to like Amr Diab, myself.

From start until finish, all of Sami and Ron's guests were on the dance floor, clapping their hands, stomping their feet, and having a fantastic time celebrating the marraige of two extremely nice and friendly people, Sami and Ron.

Congratulations, Samiyeh and Ron!
