It's been a while since I have entertained a wedding at the historic Belle Voir Manor; and while some of the faces may have changed, one thing that has remained consistent is their impeccable attentiveness to detail and dedication to delivering an event free of time snags and errors. After this many years in the business, I would say one of the more underrated attributes of any caterer or facility is their ability to focus on the plan prepared by the bride and groom and execute the agenda the new couple imagined, without dropping the ball. Mistakes do happen, but I have yet to see one at Belle Voir Manor.
As Jennifer and Peter's friends and family arrived, a jazz trio played in the loft upstairs, welcoming all the smiling faces with classic standards. Meanwhile, the bridal party spent some time outside with Thomas Trio Photography and Videogems capturing a lot of memories... including one involving the groomsmen all taking their pants down and standing behind parasols.
Jennifer obviously spent a great deal of time and energy planning each moment with Nicole and Liza at Lovely Girl Events. Just look at the photos and you'll see what I mean. By the way, I take my hat off to the professionals who operate Lovely Girls Events. More often than not, I am forced to look around the venue for the wedding planner, trying to communicate that the bride and groom are ready to roll with the dancing. On this evening, every time I looked up, I could see them one step ahead of me. If you're looking for an outstanding day-of manager, these are definitely a great consideration for wedding day assistance.
Once dinner was done, the cake was cut and the bouquet and garter traditions were observed, it was time to PARTY. When I say the dance floor filled immediately, that is spot on. It was covered from front to back until the end of the evening, without any breaks!
After getting the crowd warmed up, I turned things over to the band, whose job it was to to take the crowd to the end. I send some special and sincere thanks to Stroke of Midnight for closing out the night with some outstanding music and entertainment! I was genuinely impressed with their stage presence and ingenuity.
Looking over every facet of the event, I can honestly say this was one of the best wedding receptions I have attended in a long time.
Congratulations, Jennifer and Peter!
